Great Idea/kit : 2x4basics AnySize Picnic Table Kit, Sand
We stopped by and picked up the treated 2x4s, took the kit out of the box, and within 2 hours had it all done! The only tools needed were a skill saw to saw the boards, measuring tape, and we used a cordless screwdriver for the screws. As person else mentioned the holes did not line up with the 1/2" spacing, so I just spaced them a minute closer together and we were able to use all of the pre done holes. My dad is 84 and no longer able to put his legs up and over in a accepted picnic table, so this one with the isolate benches was exactly what we needed for his Fathers day gift! All of the picnic tables made like this (with the benches separate) that I could find were over 300.00 , this cost us 74.99 for the kit, and 30.00 for the pretreated boards, what a bargain!

Great afternoon picnic table and benches task : 2x4basics AnySize Table or Low Bench, Sand
The product only contains resin legs and not the lumber or any other support. You can use assorted material for the top. I have built three benches using these legs, from 2 ft to 6 ft long. I used fairly heavy material for the top - Trex for 2 benches and granite top for the third. Trex is heavy and flexible material so I ended up using middle keep using 2x4s. I used cedar base for the granite top. All three benches are very heavy. These legs hold them well. I am taking one star off for looks. These legs stand out as molded plastic.
